I must give credit to Shannon Jaramillo at Shannon Kaye Paperie for some of the inspiration in my card.  Her card in this challenge is beautiful and her cards are exceptional.  You should check her out.  Here is the sketch that inspired us both:

Reverse Confetti’s January Challenge #44

Just a quick post today with two cards for a Sketch For You To Try ( SFYTT) from Reverse Confetti’s challenge this month.  This is the sketch we used:

Karen’s card contains all Reverse Confetti products as the challenge asks.  All of the papers are from their just released paper stack True Love.   The sweet tiny envelope is also theirs made from a section of their  Goodie Box  Confetti diecut.  She is so clever!

My card’s papers are also from the True Love pack. My diecut is their Tall Stripe Panel  bumped up with foam which adds a nice 3D element to the card.  My sentiment is from Papertrey Ink’s Wonderful Words:  Love die and coordinating stamp set.

That is it.  Short and sweet.  Thanks for stopping by.

Multi Challenge Cards

This week we decided to create cards for three different challenges.   The Global Design Project, Mojo Monday #481, and The Verve Blog.  Here are the challenge criteria:

We have some very sweet Valentines for you so let’s get started.  First this week is Karen’s creation in blues and pinks.  Her stitched rectangles and stitched hearts add nice dimension, while her Heart Layers from Spellbinders background provides a sweet foundation to her card.  The envelope flap is Hearts & Arrows from Li’l Inkers.

Next is my card in shades of pinks.  My papers are from Reverse Confetti’s Combo Cardstock # 4.   It’s their January release collection and very fun.  The polka dot background is from Papertrey Ink’s Polka Dot Parade and is peeking from behind a Spellbinder’s scalloped heart.  With a bit of embossed striped paper for the rectangle, a bit of 1/8″ gingham ribbon, and a few pearls as embelishment and my card is complete.

Finally, we have Robyn’s card with its colorful collection of Pocket Blossoms Papers from DCWV at Michaels.  A few punches from a heart stamp cut in half and a bit of 1/8″ polka dot ribbon and there you have her sweet card.

So, have you been wondering about our sentiments?  Aren’t they cute?   They are from a fun collection on Julee Tilman’s blog The Verve Blog.  She is offering free downloads of love messages with an opportunity to win a $40 gift voucher.  Please check out this site and join in the fun.  We will be there and would love for you to join us!

Two Challenges:  Mojo Monday #479 & Global Design Project #069

Is anyone tired of winter yet?  After a weekend of treacherous snow and ice here in the Pacific Northwest and even worse weather in many other parts of the country, we deserve a break wouldn’t you agree?  Well that is a bit of what we did today as we snuggled into our work spaces and got creative.   We all used the sketch from the Mojo Monday site and Robyn included the Global Design Project challenge into her card.  Here is the Mojo sketch we used:

I’m using that sweet snowman stamp from a few weeks ago that I just love.  He is so simple and irresistible that I just had to use him again.  He is from Whipper Snapper Designs and if you are into whimsical designs, you might like to checkout their site. Their stamps will make you smile.  My coloring was done mostly with pastel pencils and just a bit of watercoloring around the snowman’s face.  Coupled with a snowflake die I got just before Christmas and some fun dotted & checked papers here is my card:

Materials

Stamp:  Twigs-Whipper Snapper Designs

Die:  Layered Snowflake- Reverse Confetti

Paper:  Petite Prints-Doodlebug Designs (dots)

                Apples & Cheeriesy-Magnolia Ink

Robyn created her card with both the Mojo Monday and Global Design Project in mind. Here is the GDP sketch she used:

She was drawn back to her hedgehogs for her card today as they seem to be very lucky for her.  (More about that later.)  She added bright green for her ‘choice’ color in the GDP challenge and it makes a fun accent to the Silver & Delightful Dijon.

Materials:

Stamp:  Hedgehog-Great Impressions

Paper: 2015-2017 In Color DSP Stack-Stampin’ Up

Sentiment: Paper Pumpkin-SU

Embelishments:  Color Enamel Shapes-SU

Stitched Shapes:   size and manufacturer not provided
Karen’s card is the second of her Valentine series.  Her mix of color and pattern work well together in this design.

Materials:

Paper:  We Go Together-Pebbles (XOXO)

                Darling-Pebbles(stripe)

Devotion-Be.Loved (hearts)

Embossing Folder:  Sizzix

Washi Tape:  Devotion-Be.Loved (chevrons on envelope)

Now for a bit of good news:  Our gal Robyn was chosen as a Top Six Pick for a recent Can You Case It? challenge.   You can check out her cute card here.   She gets our ‘You Go Girl’ gold star. ⭐️  Well deserved congratulations Robyn!  Her fun hedgehog was so sweet in that card.  We will see if we have a repeat with this week’s hedgehog.
Thanks for stopping in for a quick peek and don’t forget to check the other great designs at each site.

Comments are always appreciated so please leave one if you would.
