Happy Holidays for Mojo Monday #476

How about 3 fun holiday cards with the same design, but each with its own style and look?  That’s just what we have for you this week!  We’ve been busy with this week’s design and are ready to share.  Here was the sketch we followed:

This is my card.  A square card is not always a favorite for me as I am just a traditional A2 lover.  However, this card came together easily and gave me a chance to use a new stamp for my focal point.  I used a combination of DSP from Stampin’ Up (polka dot) and My Mind’s Eye (Comfort & Joy).  There’s a bit of stitched Always Artichoke (SU) background behind the Spellbinder’s sentiment.  A bit of washi tape on the envelope flap and my card is complete.

This is Robyn’s rustic card.  The woodsy papers are from My Minds Eye (Sparkling Sleigh Ride pad) with a handsome stag from Art-C for Spellbinders.  The browns, greys, & tan blend well together to create a warm & inviting card.

Karen’s card is full of color.  She used a mix of aqua painters and marking pens to color her focal point Christmas Bells (Becky’ Place) then fussy cut the image.   The fun striped paper ‘Tis the Season (Bo Bunny) gives her card nice brightness with the darker red and green in the background.

There you have it for this week.  We hope you enjoyed your visit and will leave a comment.  There is more inspiration here at the Mojo Monday site.  We encourage you to check it out.

We hope to see you again!

Holiday Cards for Mojo Monday #475

Just a quick post with 2 fun cards using Mojo Monday’s sketch for this week.  Karen & Robyn have done a great job with their interpretations.  This is the design they followed:

This is Karen’s card with some fun holiday style.  The sweet bells are a new punch from Punch Bunch with fun papers from My Minds Eye’s Comfort & Joy.  Adding a bit of embossing and some red & green twine and her card is complete.

Robyn’s card is another sweet interpretation of this week’s sketch.  All of her materials are from Stampin’ Up  including the little gingerbread charm tied with twine.
That does it for this week.  We hope you will check out more fun ideas at the Mojo site here.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Love, Peace, & Joy for Mojo #474

Here are the three cards we are submitting to this week’s Mojo Monday challenge each with their own holiday flavor.  We encourage you to click on the link and enjoy the other cards people included in this week’s post.  This is the sketch we followed:

Robyn’s card honored the sketch in fine fashion.  She created a fun and festive shaker card that looks great.  The focal point is the Softly Falling embossed panel (SU) with a simple tree cut out with the Tree Punch (SU).  Her printed background paper is called Outdoor Trees (Michael’s).  Using a retired sentiment from SU Robyn’s card will be a treat to receive this holiday season.

Look at what Karen has for us this week.  A simple but clever card that once again fits the sketch perfectly.  With true holiday colors and motifs her card is great for holiday CASEing.  Using grey dotted paper on a black background (PTI) with a little dusting of grey chalk it gives her card depth and richness on the vivid red background.  Her stamps are from Stampabilities.

This is my card that breaks a bit from the design sketch.  The photo is not the best for showcasing the richness of this holiday paper Comfort &Joy (My Mind’s Eye) but it is beautiful with just a bit of glitter.  The ‘joy’ diecut is from Memory Box with foam tape to give it dimension.  A little 1/8″ gingham ribbon (May Arts), a holly charm (SU), and a few winter sprigs (PTI) and we’re done.  A card better observed in person.
Hope you found some inspiration here this week and will check back regularly.  We love making cards and enjoy visitors.  Have a great week!

Some Sweet Snowmen for Global Design #062

Here is a quick card I put together for this week’s Global Design Project.  I just purchased the stamp from a local craft store and it had no manufacturer listed so I’m not sure where you might find it.  I’ve searched online and haven’t been successful yet. If I do find the source, I’ll update this post.  This is the sketch I followed:

I watercolored my guys with an aqua painter and SU inks.  The plaid is Lawn Fawn’s Perfectly Plaid-Christmas.   I’ve really enjoyed using this 6×6 stack of holiday papers, and you are going to see them often this holiday season on our blog.  The snowflakes are punched out of white glittered paper from Michael’s with an old snowflake punch from EK.  A bit of edge embossing with my scoreboard and an old sentiment from Stampin’ Up  and my card is complete.  A sweet and simple creation that was fun to make.  I hope you will find some inspiration and will check out more great ideas on the GDP site.

Jolly for Mojo # 473

I will try to get our Mojo post for last Monday out before the new one hits the air.  With the combination of travel and a house guest I’ve gotten away from my routine.  It has all been good, but I haven’t seen my craft space in some time.  So here we go.   This was last week’s sketch:

First is Karen’s holiday card. She used Lawn Fawn’s Perfectly Plaid-Christmas and a stamp set from The Cat’s Pajamas that is very versitle and fun.

My card is also a holiday creation.  The black plaid is from My Mind’s Eye Comfort & Joy collection.  The cute reindeer is from Stickable Stamps colored with pencil.  A couple of stitched ovals and a bit of sparkle from Stickles complete the look.

Here is Robyn’s sweet holiday card.  Using the Stampingbella Mr. Penguin Helps Ramona image as her focal point , a sentiment from Merry Mice (SU) and their Softly Falling embossing folder her card is a fun holiday card to make and receive.

Thanks for your visit and consider clicking the”follow” button to receive more fun creations from us.  With the holidays ahead we have many good projects in store.   We hope you visit again soon!
