Mojo Monday #467

Welcome to another addition to our fun blog. This week we have some ideas that we hope you will be able to use.  Our inspiration came from the fun design over at this week’s Mojo Monday site.  Be sure to check there for all of this week’s submissions.  Here is the sketch we used:

Karen’s card gets things started this week with sweet embossing on some fun paper.  Her soft greys along with traditional fall colors make her card very fresh and modern.  A host of embossing folders including Stampin’ Up’s Festive, and Cuttlebug’s swirls & dots, a bit of raffia and an oval punch create a fun textured pumpkin.  I love the gingham background from Recollection’s Black Tweed as it makes the card so cheerful.

Next up is my card with my new best friend from Penny Black.  The stamp is called Lamb with Mistletoe.  Is he too cute or what?  He is stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with an aqua painter using Real Red and Wisteria Wonder inks.  My DSP is from Stampin’ Up’s current holiday collection.  I used a stitched scalloped circle frame and a stitched circle die from My Favorite Things as well as a SU pennant stamp and punch for my embelishment.  A bit of 1/8″ dotted ribbon finishes this card off just right.

Finally this week is Robyn’s elegant card.  Her use of copper embelishments with Craft Smith paper is truly beautiful.  The center cutout from Itricut and copper embossed sentiment brings the whole card together in great style.

Isn’t it amazing how one design can have so many looks?   We had a good time with our cards and thank you for your visit.  We hope you will come back again for more creative cardmaking ideas.

Believe for Mojo Monday #466

We were off to a fun start today as we met for our morning of cardmaking.  We meet each Monday  to create our cards together as we video chat through the morning. Here is this week’s design:

Karen’s winter themed card of sweet snowmen is our first creation for the week.  Its papers are from a fun collection of Paper Studio’s Country Snowmen and Doodlebug’s Home for the Holidays.  Using a bit of washi tape to accent her card along with a wee Stampabilities’ sentiment from their Christmas Barrel of Stamps her card is ready to celebrate the holidays with fine style.

Robyn was excited to use a new collection of Halloween stamps and dies just purchased from Stampin’ Up to create her card.  Her scene includes stamps from Spooky Fun and dies from Halloween Scenes.  Her papers were scraps she had used before and make a great backdrop to her card.

Last but not least is my card ready for the holidays ahead.  This fun image is a new creation from Stampingbella called Christmas Bug.    I used a collection of Stampin ‘ Up’s ink including Real Red, Wisteria Wonder, and Old Olive and an aqua painter to color my image.  Papers were also SU’s  as well as the sentiment from Vertical Greetings.

That is our collection for this week.  We are happy you spent time with us this week and hope you will return again.  Leave a comment if you like and look for more good ideas at the Mojo Monday site.

Boo to You

Thanks for visiting our little creative corner.  Our hearty threesome worked in shifts on Monday to create some fun cards for this week’s challenges. This was our sketch:

We begin this week with my card featuring a new stamp I just received called Frightful Flight from Penny Black.  Isn’t it cute? It makes me smile.  With the combination of Doodlebug’s dots and Papertrey Ink’s checks my card came together quickly.  There is a bit of Glossy Accents on the balloon face  and a Stampin’ Up sentiment from Good Greetings.

Karen’s card incorporates two challenges into her creation this week. She used the design from Mojo Monday and the color combinations from Global Design.  Gold and black embossing powders from Stamp Affair were used on the basket and flowers with Bitty Dots DSP from Papertrey Ink.  The basket stamp is from Stampin’ Up’s Basket of Wishes.

Finally this week is Robyn’s colorful fall card of flowers. Using paper from Craft Smith’s Pumpkin Spice, a sweet embossing folder from Paper Studio, and a sentiment from Stampin’ Up’s A Little Something her card gets some nice finishing touches with SU’s Itty Bity Accent Punch and Candy Dots.

There it is for this week.  Three fun cards we hope you enjoy.  Be sure to check out the Global Design site and the Mojo Monday site for other good ideas. We hope you find some time to create something fun this week.

Feels Like Fall for Mojo #464

There is definitely a feeling of fall in the air in many places and so it is here on our blog this week too.  We have three Halloween cards to share with this sketch in mind:

First this week is Robyn’s spooky card all decked out in spiders.  I just love the sentiment from Craft Smart and papers from Pebbles.  Using several layers of washi tape adds a spooky flair to her envelope too.  Very cute!

Karen’s card is next with a fun mixture of rich Halloween colors.  I just love the addition of purple with Halloween designs. Her papers are a mix of retired Stampin’ Up  collections with a bit of embossing around the edges.  A cute sentiment from Stampendous‘ Tricky Words, a bit of washi tape on her envelope and her card is all ready for fall.  So colorful!

Finally, my card is less scary but still fallish with just a bit of Halloween sprinkled in.  My papers are scraps from Doodlebug’s collections for Halloween.  The embossing folder is from Sizzix, but I don’t remember where I got it.  The stamps are from My Favorite Things’ Primitive Pumpkin Set.  Of course there is washi tape on my envelope too!

That’s a wrap for our fall parade.  We hope you found something that inspires you to create something with a taste of fall this week.  Be sure to check out the Mojo site for more great ideas.  Leave us a comment and come back again.  We love visitors!
