You’re In My Thoughts for Mojo Monday #458

Here we are once again with our cards for this week’s Mojo Monday challenge.  The design had several components and we each came up with unique interpretations.  We hope you enjoy our cards.  Here is the sketch we followed:

Robyn’s card begins our collection this week.  This card is so fresh and sweet.  Her great colors so soft and dreamy are Stanpin’ Up’s Affectionately Yours collection with a couple of fun stamps Pedal Pushers and A Dozen Thoughts also from SU.  If you look closely you will see scored lines at the bottom encasing her sentiment.  So clever!

Karen’s card is a bright combination of great colors that complement each other very nicely.  The hot pink polka dots partnered with two shades of grey and pink are a real eye-catcher.  Her Verve sentiment is a great focal point with great fonts.  So fun!

Not rushing the season just getting ready early is my excuse for making a Halloween card in the middle of summer.  With these two cute hedgehogs it was just too hard to wait.  Using Penny Black’s Backseat Witch and a custom sentiment stamp I had made at my local craft store, this card came together nicely.  Adding some orange pumpkin embossed paper from Bazzil and black dotted paper from Doodlebug I created this whimsical Halloween card.   So cute!

Well that’s it for this week’s collection.  Let us know if you found anything inspiring.  We love comments!  Thanks for stopping by and come again soon.

Combined Challenges

This week we put together cards that fill the design requirements for Mojo Monday 457 and the Global Design Project.   We hope you enjoy perusing through our creations and find something that inspires you.  Here are the design sketches we followed:

This is Sharon’s whimsical card.  The little chick is from from the Cool Chicks collection of Stampingbella.  After stamping the chick with black ink she used colored pencils from Prismacolor to create a sweet image.  Using pencils was fun and surprisingly easy.  The rest of the card is a combination of pieces of Bazzil & Papertrey Ink papers.  Other embelishments include stamped hearts from Stampin’ Up’s Work of Art in Melon Mombo (also from SU), and a tiny Enamel Shape heart.

This is Robyn’s fresh card with a sweet summertime flower image.  Using the Small Dot embossing folder from Sizzix, a flower stamp from Recollections, and a jar image from Paper Smooches she shows us how we can get a great look with a variety of products from several sources.

This is Karen’s card that reminds us of how important it is to keep in touch.  Sending simple little notes is a good practice and are always well received.  Her use of Stampin’ Up’s For the Birds is a delightful choice for her card, and provides a great interpretation of this week’s sketches.

Thanks for visiting us this week.  We love making cards and sharing them with you.  We encourage your comments and hope you will return.

Mojo Monday #456

All 3 of the “sisters” were together Monday morning for some fun cardmaking.  We started early and finished with some great cards we hope you will enjoy.  Here is the Mojo design challenge we followed:

Karen gets the challenge started this week with a little something sweet and not too scary.  Karen’s summer has been blistering hot so to escape the heat she is already thinking of Fall.  Isn’t this little witch just too cute?  She’s from Stampingbella and looks very smart in her spooky attire.  Accompanied by a few cute friends our little witch has nothing to fear.  Teresa Collins’ Spooky Gallows spider paper and a few colored markers finish off her creation.  Sweet and spooky.

Next is Robyn’s card and is all about ‘bee’ing happy.  Her papers include Blackberry Bliss, some English Garden, and Perfectly Artistic all from Stampin’ Up.  Stamps are Honeycomb Hello & Hello Life from SU as is the honeycomb embossing folder.  With a SU pansy punch and an EK daisy chain punch Robyn’s card is just ‘bee’utiful.

My card was made with scraps I had on my desktop from cards I’d recently made.  Purple is not a color I typically use, but it’s good for me to try new things, and this card seemed to come together easily.  With some Petite Prints from Doodlebug papers, a stitched circle framelit, & an embossing folder that I’m not certain of its origins I pieced together my card.  The sentiment comes from a collection that was gifted to me recently.  I think it may be a retired Stampin’ Up collection.  A few rinestone embelishments and that does it.  Clean with  graphic flair.

That does it for this week.  We hope you found something to inspire you to create a card of your own.  For more ideas check the Mojo Monday site here.  Thanks for your visit and hope you will come again.

Thinking of You for Mojo Monday #455

Just a quick post this week as we are running out of time to submit our creations.  Here is the sketch we followed:

Karen’s card is a “pretty in plaid” creation that’s full of summer freshness.  With paper from Lawn Fawn’s Perfectly Plaid, some simple texture with Stampin’ Up’s Decorative Dots, and a unique circle from SU’S Wonderous Wreath, she has created her card with sweet simplicity.

Robyn created a bright colorful card full of great patterns and fun textures.  Not afraid to mix color and different patterns she used Stampin’ Up’s Moroccan DSP adding a fun doilie in coordinating color.  Adding SU’S candy dots for just a bit more interest her card has lots to take in.  Plenty of color and fun!

That’s it for this week.  We hope you found something that will motivate you to try this week’s challenge.  Check out the Mojo site and play along.
