Mojo Monday #454

We have more fun cards to share this week using Julee Tilman’s fun sketch.  Karen and I had a good time as we worked together via FaceTime, with Robyn sending her card along later in the day.  Check out what we created:

Doesn’t this card look like summer?   I love Robyn’s choice of Stampin’ Up’s Fruit Stand DSP for her card this week.  The circular glitter in the form of a peach is so clever.  With some simple touches of green and an old retired sentiment from Apple of My Eye (also SU) Robyn’s card is like a refreshing summer treat.

Keeping with the theme of a refreshing summer treat look at what Karen created with her Lawn Fawn plaids.  A few polka dots and a simple set of stitched rectangles and she has a great thank-you card.  Very easy to CASE and so versitle for many occasions.

Finally this week is my card with lots of geometric pattern.  Using Stampin’ Up’s Large Polka Dot embossing folder for texture and some simple prints from Doodlebug, this birthday card came together quickly.  The Delightful Dozen sentiment (a retired SU set) rounds out this card suitable for male or female.

That does it for this week.  You can always find more great ideas at the Mojo site, just click here. Thanks for your visit and we hope to see you next week.

Color Challenge for Global Design #041

Karen and Robyn were super ambitious this week and created cards for two challenges including GDP’S color challenge.  Using Stampin’ Up’s Night of Navy, Sweet Sugarplum, and Whisper White their cards are just right for the first day of summer.  Here is the sketch they followed:

Karen’s card features a couple of fun embossing folders, Stampin’ Up’s Large Dot and the envelope flap is Sizzix’s Diagonal Stripe.  Both provide great texture in a simple way.  Add a sweet stamp and more diagonal stripes for background and you have a fun summery creation.

It’s fun to see how different two cards can be when using the same colors and design.  Robyn’s card is a fine example of just that.  With her sketch colors she created a card reminiscent of summers gone by.  Using the SU stamp set Happy Home (retired) accompanied by the DSP Floral Bouquet and Playful Palette, Robyn’s card is full of fun.

We hope you enjoyed our cards today and will check out more great cards on the GDP site.

Little Things for Mojo Monday #453

It’s always a great time when the Snipn’ Sisters get together and this morning was no exception as we created our cards for this week’s Mojo challenge.  This was our sketch:

First this week is Sharon’s card all bright and sunny ready for the first day of summer.  She is really in love with the She Loves collection from Illustrated Faith.  It is full of great patterns and colors that are perfect for summer. A couple of stitched circle framelits and a sweet stamp from Stampin’ Up’s now retired Enjoy the Little Things and this card is complete.  (Oh plus a scrap of SU’s envelope paper for the background.). Just the kind of card you need for summer…easy peasy!

Back from a week off Robyn’s card is a fun color combination from another challenge she and Karen both are entering.  Using the new Floral Bouquet and Playful Palette from Stampin’ Up and white her card is simple and fresh.  Using another SU retired stamp set Happy Home, her sweet image is reminiscent of summer days gone by.

Karen’s card is a fun collection of Sugar Plum and Night of Navy paper too.  She added some embossing with the Large Dot folder from Stampin’ Up and a sweet greeting.  Clean and simple…a perfect summertime card too.

That is it for this week.  We hope you found some inspiration and will check out other inspiring cards over at the Mojo site.

We love comments so be sure to leave one if you like.

Thinking of You for Mojo Monday #452

We are happy you chose to visit us today and we have two fun cards to share.  Here is the sketch we followed for our cards:

We begin with Karen’s ‘Thinking of You’ creation.  With assorted teal papers and some fun Country Gardens DSP from Stampin’ Up, she created a serene card anyone would would enjoy receiving.  Her use of stitched rectangles and circles made a clean finish to her card.

Having just received some Faith Illustrated paper from the collection She Knows, I just had to use it in my card.  It’s a great collection with plenty of bright color and fun patterns, and it made the creation of this card simple and quick.

That does it for us this week.  We missed our collaborator Robyn, but she has promised to return next week.  We thank you for joining us and we invite you to return soon.  If you would like more ideas using this design please click here to continue on to the  Mojo Monday site.

A Sunshine Hello for Mojo #451

We have some fun cards for you today with a design from Julee Tillman at Mojo Monday.  She had a clean and quick design for us this week.  Here was her idea:

Here is Robyn’s card with bright color and a sweet daisy occupied by a little bee.  Her background paper was from Bella Blvd.’s Simply Spring.  The daisy is from scraps of white ovals with a simple sentiment from Paper Smooches. A little bee embelishment from Michaels and there you have it…sweet, simple, and colorful.

Next is Karen’s card.  With great circle design paper from DCWV and a nice neutral grey card base Karen created a fun card. With a couple of scalloped circle punches, some flowers of Blushing Bride, and a sweet pearl accent she has created a happy card useable for many occasions.

Our final card is Sharon’s creation of Primrose Pink  and Wildflower Fields papers both from Stampin’ Up.  The sentiment from SU’S Posted Notes is followed up with ‘Love the life you live’ on the inside.  The corners were punched with SU’s  Three Corner Punch.

That’s it for this week’s Mojo collection.  We hope you found some inspiration and we hope you will check out more ideas at the Mojo Monday site.

Thanks for stopping by!
