More Slatted Baskets

Yesterday we shared our patriotic baskets and hope you will give them a try.  (Click here if you missed that post.)  In the original directions there were no measurements for scoring strips on the medium and small boxes.  Here are the numbers which we found worked well for us:

  • Medium  box (3″ x 3″) score strips @ 2 3/4″ from each end
  • Small box (2″x 2″) score strips @ 1 3/4″ from each end

Robyn created these two small boxes ( 2″x 2″) from Birthday Bouquet paper.  It’s amazing the different look you get using the reverse of the same paper.  I like using double sided paper for that reason.  She punched holes in the corners of the flaps tying ribbon in each.  We liked how well these worked without handles.

Here are more small boxes made from Field of Flowers DSP.  3-4 Hershey Kisses fit in nicely.  Wrapping 1/8″ ribbon under the flaps and tying a bow in just one corner makes a nice finishing touch too.
Wouldn’t these make cute Halloween or Christmas boxes?

Whether it’s small medium or large, with handles or without these baskets are fun and easy to make.
