Slatted Baskets

This week we are fortunate to be featured on Susan Itell’s Simple Stampin’ blog.    We are sharing a project we’ve been having fun with for several weeks now as these baskets have so many options for many occasions.

These are our Slatted Baskets.   They come in three sizes and we’ve  enjoyed making them into Easter and May Day Baskets.  As we enter the Memorial Day and July 4th holidays we think these boxes would be great fun too.  The idea came from Betty Traciak at Kitty Stamp.  She was featured on Splitcoast Stampers earlier this spring.  If you click on the links you will find wonderful directions and a great video on how to create these boxes.

The smallest basket measures 2″x 2″.  It would hold 3-4 small candies.

The medium basket at 3″ x 3″ would make a nice container for birthday party or shower favors.

This is the large basket measuring 4″ x 4″.  It’s a great size for holding flowers as shown.   These would made great table centerpieces too.  We’ve added brads at the ends of the handles to make it easier to insert items into the boxes.

Thanks for visiting and join us again tomorrow when we will have more ideas for these boxes and some additional measurements for the decorative slats.
