Making Cards for Mojo Monday #431

It’s that time of the week when the Snipin’ Sisters are at their desks with their thinking caps on creating cards with this week’s sketch in mind.  We had fun and hope you find our interpretations insightful.  Here we go:

karen’s card

Karen’s card is all about pattern and texture.  With polka-dots, scallops, and a variety of pink patterns Karen has created a sweet little Valentine for someone special.  I wonder if one of her “sisters” will be the receipient?

Paper:  Heidi Swapp pack from Michaels

Die:  ‘with love’ Swoosh Papertrey Ink and scallop and circle Nestibilities Sizzix

Embellishments:  Fashionable Hearts Sizzix

robyn’s card

Robyn’s card has a favorite hedgehog that always looks so cute and brings a quick smile each time you see it.  She used some soft colors that make her card very sweet too.

Paper:  Tan Hearts Recollections and Almond Toffee Basic Grey

Stamps:  hedgehog Penny Black  sentiment Paper Smootches

Embellishments:  dots Recollections

Die Cut:  flower Sizzix

sharon’s card

To round this post out Sharon’s card uses a slightly different take the on the sketch.  Using ovals instead  of circles and turning her card vertically she has taken liberty to try something different.

Paper: Botanical Gardens Stampin’ Up

Stamps:  umbrella-Friends & Flowers Dee’s Artsy Impressions;  sentiment-Fresh Floral Wrapups Papertrey Ink;  & butterfly-Flowering Fields Stampin’ Up

Die cuts:  stitched ovals My Favorite Things

Embellishments:  ribbon May Arts &  Candy Dots SU
