Mojo Monday Time

Even with the holiday we managed to take some time this week for our weekly meeting to create our cards for this week’s challenge.  Here is the design we followed:

Let’s begin with  Robyn’s apples and fallish color scheme from DCWV Grade School Stack.  The mix of color and pattern work so well together.  Love the dashes she used around the sentiment too.  There are plans for this to go to the support staff at Robyn’s school with some nice chocolates.  Robyn is so thoughtful.

Next up is Karen’s card full of texture.  Her fun embossing folders are mostly from Sizzix.   They include Big Dots, Small Dots, and Diagonals, and Swirls from Cuttlebug.  The paper colors are Pink Pirouette and Delightful Dijon from Stampin’ Up and she isn’t sure about the grey.  Her sentiment is is also from SU and is also called Yippee-Skippee! If you look closely, she even embossed the envelope flap in Small Dots.  Love the color combinations.

Karen’s Card

My card is similar to Robyn’s in subject matter.  With school starting this week in our area I’m sending my card to a retired teacher friend just to say “hello”.  I used Doodlebug’s Petite Prints for the background and Stampin Up’s Real Red and Old Olive for the center.  My apple stamps are from Papertrey Ink’s Apple Prints.  There are many apples to choose from in this set, and these are a couple of my favorite.   The sentiment is also from Papertrey.  The stamp set is called Bowl of Sunshine.  As for the DSP strip, I’m not sure of the name, but it is from a recent purchase at JoAnn’s.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our collection this week and thank you for stopping by.  There are more cards for inspiration at so be sure to check them out.  Until next week have fun crafting!
