Many people dread Mondays, but here at Snipin’ Sisters we love Mondays because we get together and create cards. It’s amazing that even though we work in separate places, when we come together (via FaceTime) we have often created similar cards. This week we all seemed to have Fall on our minds. Here is the design we used:
I just received a new set of stamps with dies from Papertrey Ink so of course I had to use them in today’s project. The set is called Pumpkin Patch and it has two sets of three different sized pumpkins. The inks are Stampin’ Up’s Pumpkin Pie, Tangelo Twist, and Old Olive. My paper is SU’s Mossy Meadow for the background and Papertrey Ink’s Chicken Scratch Gingham Paper for the accent. Having not read the directions completely for this design, my card is not a ‘tall & skinny’ but a standard A2 size. I’m still happy with the way it turned out. I hope you like it too.
Robyn’s Fall theme for her card had lots of fun color. Her papers are from Stampin’ Up. DSP is from Sweet Li’l Things and the card base is Hello Honey. The stamps are also SU’s: Holiday Home and Sprinkles of Life. Her Tree Builder punch (also from SU) was the base for her embellished circles. It’s not a card from Robyn without a little bling and this one is no exception. Got a love those rhinestones!
Karen’s card rounds out the group’s Fall interpretations with another patch of pumpkins. The DSP is Motley Monsters from Stampin’ Up–very cute and a lot of spooky. She used pumpkin dies from My Favorite Things and a small leaf punch from EK. For just a bit of dimension she chalked the edges of the pumpkins with Chestnut Roan chalk from Color Box. A nice touch!
That is it for us this week. We hope you enjoyed our creations and will return again. As always be sure to check out the Mojo Monday site (www.mojomonday.blogspot.com) for more great cards.
