It’s Time For Another Mojo Challenge

It is Monday again and the Snipin’ Sisters have another trio of cards for you to view.  We spend our Monday mornings contemplating and creating and here is the format we were to follow this week:

This week Karen was in a holiday mood with her card and winter theme.  Her cute snowmen paper is from Bella Blvd. and is called Christmas Countdown.  She used EK’s mini tree punch for a little embelishing and a snowflake die from Memory Box.  Love the bright colors.  Can you guess what she used for the tag that is holding her sentiment?   It’s one of the houses from a retired  Stampin’ Up holiday set from 2014.  Pretty clever, I think! The sentiment is a Bitty Banners also from SU.

Karen’s Card

Robyn’s card evokes a soothing late summer feel with all the warm colors and the beautiful sunflowers.  Her paper is from Graphic 45–their French Country Collection.  The sentiment is a Technique Tuesday set and the rhinestones are from Recollections.  I love the yellow accents she used.  It helps to bring out the yellow in the sunflowers.

Robyn’s Card

My card was created using an idea from Brian King as he shared the leaf technique on his blog Stamp with Brian.  I used Stampin’ Up’s ink: Old Olive, Delightful Dijon, Tangelo Twist, and Tip Top Taupe for my leaf colors and embossed a circle of Old Olive with the horizontal stripe embossing folder from Sizzix.  There is a bit of vellum used for the horizontal piece and the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.  The leaves and acorn are also a SU product, but they are retired.

That does it for this week.  We hope you enjoyed our cards and be sure to check out more good ideas at http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com.

See you next week!

Mojo Monday 411

After a two week hiatus the Snipin’ Sisters are back and ready to take on another Mojo Challenge.  Here is the design we followed for this week:

Karen and I chose a Halloween theme for our cards and Robyn used a sweet birthday theme with pink and lots of flowers for her card.  We had fun with the sketch as it allowed us to use lots of scraps.

Karen’s Card

Karen used Stampin’ Up’s Motley Monsters for her colorful papers and added a few fall stamps from My Favorite Things.  Her little ghost is a Memory Box die and the Spooky is from Li’l Inkers.  I love the simple borders she embossed around the edges.  It helps give her sentiment definition.

Sharon’s Card

My papers are all from Stampin’ Up too.  Some are from discontinued DSP, but as this project was a great way to use up scraps anything goes, right?   My ‘Boo’ and bats are from  a SU Paper Pumpkin set from last fall, and the ‘spooky’ is the same as Karen used but as the negative image of the die cut.

Robyn’s Card

Robyn followed the design more formally than Karen or I.  Again materials from the scrap bin for her card too. She did use Stampin Up’s pearl embelishments to enhance the flowers.  A very sweet card for someome’s birthday coming up next week, perhaps!?!

That does it for us for this week. We hope you will check out other fun interpretations of this week’s sketch at http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com.

Thanks for your visit!
