Here are the cards we created for Susan Itell’s recent Monday Challenge. Susan is a wonderful Stampin’ Up demonstrator. She specializes in clean and simple designs in her blogs. Her criteria this week was to create a card using 4 colors from one of Stampin’ Up’s color families. We each chose a different family and here are our cards:
Karen chose the Brights family for her card embossing both the card’s background and each of the puffy white clouds. Her smart little owl was created with SU’s owl punch. The addition of black checked ribbon and a bit of black twine gives this handsome fellow the base he needs.
Sharon chose the Subtles family for her card. The colors were Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz, and Blushing Bride. She also chose to emboss her background and lifted it a bit with foam tape. Lifting allowed her card some dimension to showcase the 2″ circle cutout with flowers from Papertrey Ink. The embossing from her card carried over to the envelope flap with flowers on a few of the dots.
This was another fun project and we had a good time creating our cards.
Thanks for visiting our blog, and we hope you will come again.
