Little Critter Invasion

Today we changed direction a bit here at Snipin’ Sisters and headed in the direction of some  3D projects.  We dusted off our Curvy Keepsake Framelits and got busy.  I created this cute little bee and Karen was very brave creating this too-cute-to-burn fire-breathing dragon.   Our inspiration came fresh from Pintrest with a few personal adaptations.  You can probably figure out how these little critters go together, but here are a few tips:

  • Bee wings are a heart cut in half.
  • Dragon wings are a 2″ circle cut in with 1/2” “bites” from a small oval punch.
  • Dragon face is from 2 lg. ovals

We hope these cute guys inspire you to give them a try.  Stampin’ Up sells the Curvy Keepsake Box framelit, but patterns are available on Pintrest too.

Thanks for visiting our blog!

  1. Love the boxes. The characters you created are really cute. Great way to show that you can use either side of the box (flap-over side, the bee, or flap-under side, the dragon) to be the front. Fun projects.
