MFT & PPA Challenges

When I posted our cards into  the MFT Challenge yesterday, there was a glitch (probably me) and the wrong picture was posted.  When I saw that the Pals Paper Arts Challenge was very similar today, I decided to enter our cards into that one too.  Be sure to check both blogs to see the great cards posted in this week’s challenges.

We recently purchased some stitched framelits from My Favorite Things and signed up for their blog.  In their post on Wednesday this challenge intrigued us, so truly being The Snipin’ Sisters we couldn’t resist giving it a try.

Karen’s Card
Karen has been in a patriotic mood this week.  Her use of Stars and Stripes makes this card a great way to share your patriotic spirit.   Sending a card like this to a veteran would be a great way to thank them for their service.  Here are the materials she used:

Paper:       Cut & Ready white cards, Real Red cardstock,

Designer Series blue dot DSP–  Stampin’ Up

Punches:   Itty Bitty Accents –Stampin’ Up

Die Cut:     1 1/4″ Star–Nestabilities

Twine:      Red-White-Blue Baker’s Twine–May Arts

Stamps:   Celebrate Today–Stampin’ Up

Sharon’s Card
Sharon’s choice of an apple motif for her card makes a bold statement with popular apple colors. Don’t worry if you are allergic to bee stings, these bees are harmless and very sweet!  Here are the materials she used:

Paper:                      Cut & Ready card (Whisper White)–Stampin’ Up,

                                  Petite Prints– Doodlebug Bug

Stamps:                    Apple Prints–Papertrey Ink,

                                   Bumble bee–Alley Way Stamps

Ink:                             Real Red, Garden Green, & Daffodil Delight–Stampin’ Up

Die Cuts:                    Apple Prints–Papertrey Ink

Embellishments:      Wooden bee–Michael’s

We hope you find some inspiration in today’s cards and will try one or both.

Thanks for your visit!

Karen & Sharon
