Snipin’ Sisters Try Color Throwdown #340

Karen’ Card
Today Snipin’ Sisters tried a challenge at Color Throwdown   The challenge was to use pink, aqua, and green.

Sharon's Card
Sharon’s Card

This was the first time we’ve tried working with this group up, and it was fun using such a great Spring combination of color.

Sharon’s card was a notecard size ( 3 1/2″ x 5″).   Her 2″ circle cutout was lined with a 2 1/4″ polka dot embossed circle.   The sentiment, stamped flowers, and checked border came from Stampin’ Up’s Kind and Cozy.  Ink colors were Old Olive, Blushing Bride, and Melon Mombo also from Stampin’ Up.  The button is from the “Let Them Eat Cake” collection from a great company we found on Esty called  A Flair For Buttons.     Shelley has some amazing buttons so be sure to check out her site at her Esty shop aflairforbuttons.

Karen’s A2 card was also created with embossed polka dots but done in pink and then covered with 3/4″ aqua circles.  Her stamps and sentiment were from Stampin’ Up’s For the Birds stamp set.

We had a great time joining the folks at CTD #340 and look forward to working with them again!

Thanks for visiting!

  1. Wonderful cards Sharon and Karen. Love the polka dot background on the first one. The little birds are having so much fun in the fountain. 🙂 The flowers are so sweet on the second. Also love the circle cut-out with the blue flowers. Thank you for playing along with us at The color Throwdown.

  2. Both of you always add such sweet details to your cards and give me tons of ideas to try. Need to try including a tag as a focal point. The little bird is just right touch and goes so well with the dots. Love the placement of the button within the circle on Sharon’s card. It balances the little flowers perfectly. You guys definitely got your “CUTE” going.
